kosciusko summit track
the summit of Mount Kosciusko is amazingly accessible considering that it is the highest peak of the whole of Australia. The trail itself is mostly on a raised platform that allows the fragile alpine ecosystem to survive - it's surprisingly unobtrusive visually (the grass grows throught the plateform in some places.)
