I found a bunch of break dancers while I was trying to keep out of the rain. glad I did, still many photos to go through - including skaters. I gotta say, I didn't expect this in Singapore. This one is a quick crop (need to burn out that highlight on the left and may try to fix the colour) but I gave Greg my flickr name, so hopefully he finds it. I'll post more - probably not 'til the weekend though.

new camera

someone got a new camera this week.



And my parents got a call from my US bank - wondering if I had in fact purchased a camera in Sydney on a Visa card that's otherwise been used once in the past 12 months. I like that they did that. (thanks Chase)

Last night's Mardi Gras Parade was an absolute hoot! Of course there was plenty of drag (as above) and plenty of puns on Brokeback Mountain (as below.) Met up with Kate but the rest of the Sydney Photobloggers were hard to find (there was like 300,000 people there...)

art baghdad

Last night I caught the one night art baghdad "At night RAVE near THE GUARD'S compartment NAKED with A BLUE LIGHT" photo exhibition at blanco negro gallery in Surry Hills. Mostly street photography - and a lot of it. Probably a bit too much - and the works of 6 photographers were all mixed up together (I prefer to see works grouped by artist.) Kristen L Perich had some great work there (the gritty Ms. Bikini World series) as did David Lang with his images from India and (I think) Nepal. But every piece that really drew me in were all Colin McDougall's - Wires, Scar, Killian, smoking, Car and Bondi Walker. Nice work Colin.
