the big four oh

OK, so i didn't get my climbing goal of 24 by my fortieth birthday - but I am climbing as hard (if not harder) than I was in my 20's so whoo hoo! And I'll get a 23 by the end of this calender year and I'm sure I can pull a soft 24 somewhere, sometime in 2008

What I did achieve by my fortieth is home ownership and this was unexpected. Six months ago I was sure that when Amy returned from the states we would start apartment shopping. sure, we probably could have found an apartment by now but everything was so uncertain then... but now we have a house!

There still work to do around the house but as we get that sorted, I'll soon get back to climbing the hard stuff!

new home

I'm sitting here in our house OUR HOUSE - like we own it. it's ours. yeah yeah yeah, we owe the bank a whole giant pile of money but the house is ours. that's wierd.
